The Gap Celebrates the 10th Annual Health Expo

The Center for Closing the Health Gap’s 10th Annual Health Expo is Saturday, April 27, 2013 at our new location, Washington Park. Our theme, Do Right! In the Park: Family Fun and Fitness reflects our commitment to improving the health of children and adults. This is our first outdoor Health Expo and will be held rain or shine. Here’s a sample of what you can expect and it’s FREE:
Wobble Competition– Guinness Book of Records
Join the Wobble line and help us set the world record for having the most participants in in a wobble line. We want to be in the Guinness Book of Records but we need your participation.
National Entertainment
The Expo always delivers great musical talent and this year is no exception. Move to the sounds of national recording artists, The Deele and Midnight Star. Also appearing is Cincinnati native and The X Factor contestant, Arin Ray.
The Expo reaches thousands of people each year and the resources available make a major impact towards improving the health and wellness of all who attend. So please bring your whole family and Do Right! In
Health Symposiums
We are excited to host 2 sym posiums. The Women’s Health Symposium, What’s Puling on Your Weave? will feature a number of health topics important to women. The F.A.C.E. Your Diabetes Symposium will address the diabetes epidemic devastating our community.
20 Free Comprehensive Health Screenings
Expo health screenings are often the only screenings people receive each year. Uninsured and underinsured participants utilize these free services to get important health information that would otherwise be inaccessible. Knowing your health status is the first step to better health.
Children’s Pavilion
It’s never too early to introduce children to healthy lifestyle choices. The Children’s Pavilion will offer a range of fun activities and wellness education material for kids and teens alike.
Sing Out for Health
Join us for our first Sing Out for Health singing showcase at The School for the Creative and Performing Arts. Any solo performer, group, ensemble, or choir is eligible to participate.
Fitness Demonstrations
The Moovin’ and Groovin’ Stage will offer a variety of fitness demonstrations. Whether you need a fitness jumpstart or you’re in search of fresh ideas, check out the Moovin’ and Groovin! Stage.
