Do Right! Kids After School Program is Looking for Facilitators

The Health Gap is looking to hire 2 candidates to facilitate the Do Right! Kids After School Program at Ethel Taylor Academy and 1 facilitator for the Do Right! Cooking Club at Western Hills High School. These are all paid opportunities. After-School Program Facilitator

Job Description

The Do Right! Kids program at Ethel M. Taylor Academy is an after-school program for grades K-6th that focuses on obesity prevention through weekly nutrition education and physical activity. The Center for Closing the Health Gap is looking for 2 individuals who have experience in working with youth and the ability to deliver nutrition education and physical activity instruction. Curriculum training will be provided.

Job Responsibilities

  • Facilitate weekly after-school sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays 2:45-3:45pm January 3rd – May 23rd.
  • Pick up and return materials to the Health Gap office.
  • Transportation to Ethel M. Taylor Academy.

 

High School Cooking Club Facilitator

Job Description

The Western Hills High School Cooking Club is a group that meets after school to discuss the importance of nutrition, how to eat healthier, and how to prepare healthier meals. The Center for Closing the Health Gap is looking for an individual who has experience and an interest in nutrition education and basic food preparation. Curriculum training will be provided.

Job Responsibilities

  • Facilitate a weekly cooking club session on Wednesdays 3:30-5:00 pm January 17th – February 28th.
  • Obtain and purchase necessary materials for the sessions.
  • Return unused materials to the Health Gap office.
  • Transportation to Western Hills High School.
