CDC: Preventing Youth Violence

When we think about health, many of us think about nutrition and exercise; however, another large public health issue across the nation is youth violence, which affects everyone—including families and communities. Youth violence is a leading cause of death and injury. Each day, 13 youth become victims of homicide. Homicide is the third leading cause of death for those between the ages of 10 and 24.
