DO RIGHT!® NUTRITION TRAIN THE TRAINER

Nutrition Train the Trainer is an eight-week wellness series that is designed to teach participants to make better food choices and also how to expand the reach of nutrition education by training participants to teach others.

The Center for Closing the Health Gap in Greater Cincinnati is committed to empowering communities toward better health. We believe education is a key component to achieving that end. Our Do Right! Nutrition Train the Trainer program is designed not only to teach people to make better food choices but to also expand the reach of nutrition education by training participants to teach others.

Healthy eating patterns focused on consuming fewer calories and making better food choices can help people achieve and maintain a healthy weight, reduce the risk of chronic disease, and promote overall health. The objectives of the program are to teach participants how to make healthier decisions when buying and preparing food, and to prepare them to teach basic nutrition in their own communities.

The series consists of two components: education sessions and healthy cooking demonstrations.
