Training for People with Pre-Diabetes and Diabetes
The Health Gap’s More than Manage your Diabetes — Resident Training is aimed to provide residents with knowledge and resources to manage their diabetes in a holistic way, receive personalized information to address individual barriers, and learn more about clinical trials participation.
Diabetes Workshop — September 11 from 2-4 p.m.
Talk about ways to manage diabetes as well as understanding clinical trials, barriers, trial ethics, and answering FAQs related to trials.
Personal Activation Session — September 12-16
These will be 1-on-1 sessions where people can talk about their barriers in managing their diabetes, and we can provide them a plan for simple lifestyle modifications to manage their chronic condition. The facilitator will reach participants to schedule 1-on-1 activation session.
Dealing with Diabetes-Related Stress & Anxiety — September 16 from 6-7 p.m.
This will be a group session to talk about stress related to diagnosis and management of diabetes and ways to cope with this stress.
