The Center for Closing the Health Gap uses a ground up approach in its work to eliminate racial and ethnic health disparities. Our COO, Renee Mahaffey Harris, explained at the recent EF Hutton Talks Social Capital Conference how we obtain and maintain our social capital through community engagement efforts and utilizing all of our digital platforms. Hosted by EF Hutton, The Social Capital Conference was held on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2018 at Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio.

Harris explained for the conference how the Health Gap has achieved credibility and trust with its constituents and how working with them helps to achieve the organization’s goal of building a culture of health and going where our constituents are including on social media.
